VaultPad has always been built on a zero-knowledge architecture: your notes and files are encrypted on your device before they ever reach our servers. We can't read them. No one can — except you. Today we're extending that guarantee to sharing. How encrypted sharing works When you share a note or file from VaultPad, you generate a shareable link. The encryption key is embedded in the link's fragment — meaning it never leaves your device and never touches our servers. The recipient opens the link in their browser and the content is decrypted locally. If you revoke access, the link stops working immediately. The recipient never had a copy of the key. No VaultPad account required The person you're sharing with doesn't need a VaultPad account. They open the link in any browser and see the decrypted content — still zero-knowledge, still end-to-end encrypted. Encrypted sharing is available now for all VaultPad users.
